Abstrak
The problem in this study is the low activeness of students in social studies lessons. This study aims to improve student learning activity by applying a problem-based learning model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research which consists of two cycles with four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were the fifth grade students of SDN 091263 Karang Sari, totaling 24 people, while the object of this research was the effect of using discovery learning methods to improve student learning outcomes in Indonesian lessons. Data collection techniques are observations and questionnaires on student learning activities. And observation of teacher teaching activities. Based on the analysis of the data obtained in the first cycle, the medium category is 4.17%, the high category is 83.30%, and the very high category is 12.50%. Then it increased in the second cycle with the percentage of high category 4.17% and very high category 95.83%.
