Abstrak

This type of research is a Quasy Experiment and One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The
data analysis technique used is the Shapiro-Wilk test as a normality test, the Test of Homogeneity
of Variances test as a homogeneity test and the paired sample t test as a hypothesis test. The research
results show that there is a significant influence on student learning outcomes in social studies
lessons using the think pair share type cooperative learning model. The results obtained from the
pretest had a poor average score (43.40%) while the posttest had a good average score (84.4%).
Based on the analysis of pretest and posttest data, it shows that the sig (2-tailed) value is 0.00 <0.05,
where Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant difference between the
learning outcomes of students who use the think pair share learning model which increases. Thus,
it can be concluded that the think pair share cooperative learning model has an influence on student
learning outcomes in social studies class IV UPTD SD Negeri 122353 Pematang Siantar.
