Abstrak

Oral tradition is the result of cultural inheritance born from a group of people who have the characteristics of physical, social and cultural introduction orally to each generation. Reading culture has never been passed down from our ancestors. we are only used to hearing various fairy tales, stories, customs verbally or orally told by parents, grandmothers, and community leaders. so there is no written learning that can lead to reading habits. Interest in reading is influenced by genetic determinism, namely parental inheritance. research using descriptive quantitative research. one of which is to foster children's interest in reading by cultivating a love of reading starting from the family.
