THE INFLUENCE OF QUESTIONING STRATEGY ON READING ACHIEVEMENT OF THE GRADE SEVEN STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 2 PEMATANGSIANTAR IN 2022/2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

The purpose of this study was to find out whether the strategy of the question influenced class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar in reading reading. Researchers use qualitative methods using random sample designs. The instrument is a test. From the results of the study there were 30 students who were able to answer the main ideas questions with a value of 40.6% percentage. 59 students who can answer find specific information with a percentage value of 64.4%. 48 students who can answer reference questions with the percentage of student values that are able to answer the main idea questions with a percentage value of 40.6%. 48 students who can answer reference questions with a percentage value of 67.5%. 30 students who are able to answer inference with a percentage value of 100% and 52 students who are able to answer vocabulary questions with a percentage value of 82.2%. Based on research, the average test results are 84%. This research indicates that the strategy of questions has a good influence on the understanding of reading students.
